The WV Chapter of the ACFE will present its annual 2 hour ethics training. Plan ahead and add to your calendar, so your ethics hours are covered. Speaker and subject still to be set.
I am pleased to announce that we are kicking off fall with our 3rd Quarter Training Session which will be held on 9/14/2017and presenter will be Robert Hinzman, CFE, MFA (WVSP-BCI).
He will be presenting on one the most important topics we have presented on and that effects everyone and all across the state, Elder Fraud and Exploitation. He will also discuss the role and mission of the West Virginia State Police BCI unit.
This training will be held at the Columbia Gas Pipeline Building Room 1178 from 11:15am to 12:30pm. The presentation will begin at 11:30 and lunch is available for purchase on site. There is no fee for this training.

WVACFE Luncheon Training Series 2nd Quarter: Alternative Remittance Systems & Trade Based Money Laundering
This will be a special 2 hours CPE presented by Jeff Sandy, CFE, Cabinet Secretary Department of Public Safety and Military Affairs for the State of West Virginia. Secretary Sandy will draw from his extensive years experience in the movement of money for nefarious purposes as an IRS criminal investigator, Investigator for Perry Forensics, and Law Enforcement background both domestically and internationally.
Our Presenter will be Rita Richard (MBA,CFE) Chief Investigator for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for the State of West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. She will discuss the mission of the unit, types of fraud schemes , and discuss case studies.
